Best Friends Till the End

So this summer I got the chance to make a "new" best friend. We have actually known each other for like 9 years and have always been good friends. However, this past summer we became ultimate friends.
We have craft sleepovers almost at least once a week, we tell each other everything, and we always have fun. We can be honest and true, no matter how hard it is. If we disagree on something we can talk it out and figure it out. We both love Disney but during the summer she turned me into a Disney fanatic, just like her. Yet were 4 years apart.
This Saturday she goes off to an internship for 10 MONTHS! Yeah, and we missed each other when I went to Africa for two weeks. I'm so proud of her though, she's walking in the destiny God has for her. I'm definitely going to miss her but I'm thankful for having her as my closest friend over the summer, and that's not going to change. She'll still be gone but nothing is going to change about our relationship, we will still be just as close when she comes back.  I can't wait to hear about all od has done for her through the internship! I'm so happy :)

This is us this past summer. This is actually where she id doing her internship.
And this is old school. A few years back.

I'm sure she will keep us updated on her blog, Beautiful Blended Victoria. :)

Computer + Water =

I thought I would share my latest delima with y'all today. If you're a blogger and love your computer, it's actually very sad, so you may want to grab a box of tissues.

Last Wednesday, my friend and I were writing for our blogs when I decided I was thirsty. So naturally, I get a water. No harm done right? Wrong. Within the first minute, my water it spills. Luckily it didn't get on anything, this time. I should've gotten the clue then to move it away from my Mac, but, I didn't.
About two minutes later it spills again. This time ON my computer, which immediately turns black as soon as I try to snatch it up.
My thoughts?
"Oh, Apple must have installed a really cool way to shut down the computer when it gets wet so it won't shock it. Sweet!"
I wipe the water of the screen and keyboard and take the top cover off thinking I got all the water off. So, I try to power it back on, and it does! But, about thirty seconds later it turns black again.
At this point, I kind of panic and plug it into the charger. (Note to self: DO NOT DO THIS. It actually shorts out something...)
In my defense, I didn't know any of this, and plus, my computer was almost dead when I was using it before the water incident, so I thought it just died. Nope, turns out this was my computers way of telling me that it was not thirsty. I finally get enough sense to take the back case off.
What do we find?
A whole bunch of water. Ugh.
We strategize, Google, pray, etc, about how to get this flood water out of my computer. We hold it so the water can leak out and fill a bag with rice. Not a good idea, turns out the rice gets into the ports. What next? Try to get the back off.
A few hours go by, and I come back from church to find my computer has been disected. It's sitting with the back off in front of a fan. This becomes her resting spot for the next few days.
We knew we didn't have a warranty to cover water damage, and that we could be facing a bill of several hundred dollars to repair it, so Saturday, we ask our friend (who is a techie genius) to take a look at it.
Guess what!
He figures out what's wrong and fixes it! I got it back, good as new, on Sunday.
Yeah, it only took him a few hours to figure out what was wrong. Genius!
So, I want to say a really big thank you to our friend!
Needless to say, I'm a little paranoid, and much more cautious now about any liquid being around my computer.

The picture our friend sent us when he fixed it

When I got it back on Sunday :)

Watcha Want to Know?

source
So, I noticed I haven't said much about me, and I would like to change that.
After all, it's fun to know a bloggers personality right?

But, I'm not really sure what y'all would like to know, so I came up with an idea. You guys can comment below with questions you would like for me to answer. Please be nice, polite, and appropriate about your questions. Modesty is best! =]

Make sure to leave your name along with your blogs name if you have one (that way I can hop on over and check it out). I might not answer every question but it doesn't hurt to ask!

Ready... Set... Go!

{Spark} Linky Party Update

Spark
noun- anything that activates or stimulates;
inspiration or catalyst.

What is Spark?

In a nutshell, starting in September, Spark is going to be a place to come link up any and all family friendly ideas, products, stories, poems, recipes, photos, products, information, etc that will "spark" the imagination!

Each month, there will be a new Spark topic or theme, and the opportunity to link up will run all month long. You can link up as many times as you'd like as long as what you're linking up stays relevant to the topic.

Isn't Spark just another crafty linky party then?

NO!
Well, yes, it's a linky party, but what will make Spark different is that it's not just for crafters.
Like I said, each month there will be a new Spark topic. If you're a blogger, photographer, Etsy shop owner, etc, you can come link up as long as you are linking up something family friendly related to that topic.
For example, the topic for September is It's Fall Ya'll! so if you're a blogger who writes poetry and have a poem that fits the topic, you can link up! If you have an item in your Etsy shop that falls under the topic, you can link that up too! If you're a photographer with photos on your website that relate, link them up. If you're a blogger and have a post with features you've found on Pinterest that are of the topic, link up. Of course, if you post recipes, crafts, DIY, you're welcome to link up as well.
Make sense?
In other words, it's not exclusive to just craftiness. If you have something that is related to the topic of the month, as long as it's relevant and family friendly, and it will "spark" a readers imagination or interest, come link it up.

Nice! Anything I can't link up then?

Only family friendly links are allowed. This will be monitored daily, and posts will be deleted that are inappropriate. Let's all play nice, mmmmkay?
Also, as much as we love giveaways and other linky parties, we'd rather you not link them up. If you do host a linky party, let us know because we like to link up too, and have other spots on our blogs that we can put that button or link. Perhaps in the future this may change, but for now we'll keep it this way.

Okay, sounds kind-of cool, are you going to have Co-Hosts?

Yes! Three regular blogs will Co-Host Spark, which are myself, Just a Little Creativity, and Beautifully Blended Victoria BUT we'd love to have a guest Co-Host or two each month. So, if you're interested, contact me or the other two bloggers. We are looking for blogs of all sizes, so even if you're not a "big blogger" it's totally okay.
You'll see that the three of us are each different types and styles of bloggers, and that's perfect! Exactly what we like.

When does this start, and what are all the topics?

The first Spark will start Thursday September 6 and again, the topic for September is It's Fall Y'all!
We think that's a very broad theme, and we're looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with!
We will post a calender then of all the topics for each month through December 2013, so you'll have plenty of time to brainstorm.

We hope you're looking forward to this as much as we are!
Please contact me if you have any questions or are interested in Co-Hosting. We're also interested in setting up giveaways related to the monthly topic, so if you'd like to discuss this more, again, give me a shout.

In the meantime, we'd love to start getting the word out!
Please grab a button to display, remember, the more the merrier!

ArahBellas

Each month I'm going to have a different button to match the topic.
Here's my SPARK button for the month.
Feel free to use which ever button you wish :)

Hunger Games

So, I absolutely love the Hunger Games. I was so excited for the movie to come out and today is the day! Finally it's here!
In honor of my Hunger Games love, I put together a little collection of things I found on Etsy. In my opinion, these things captured the heart of the Hunger Games. Some of them you may not get unless you read the books (which I HIGHLY recommend).
Guess what else is cool about these things. The most expensive is $36! These things are cute and cheap, please check out the stores by clicking on the picture :)
Anyway, here they are!

This is amazing! Anyone notice the meaning of
this? I want it!
These are so cute! I love them!
Love this saying and want this necklace :)
This may or may not be one of my favorite quotes :)
See how much detail this bracelet captures!
I loved Finnick...
I absolutely want this. It's so beautiful!

Last and certainly the most amusing to me...

The text you get from your Hunger Games fanatic brother taunting you. Thanks bro love you to!

Yeah so that was my little hunger games collection! Trust me there was a whole lot more I loved but I had to be picky.
Some may wonder why I don't have a team Gale or Peeta item. See, I have this issue, I loved both of them! I think they were both amazing, and sweet, and handsome, and loving, and caring, and well yeah, you get it right? It was very hard for me to chose a team so I just didn't.
I love the way it ended. It was perfect.
In the movie I almost cried when Katniss and Peeta kissed for the first time (You know, when he was in the cave) and the showed Gale's face. I honestly was closer to crying at that moment then I was when Rue died, even though I was really close to crying then too.
Anyway, before I start going on and on about how much I loved the movie and the books (Honestly, the books more) I will leave you with this...
May The Odds Be Ever In Your Favor...

{Fridays Letters} School

Photobucket

Dear school,
Thank you for being there to educate us but do you really have to make us get up so early? I think we could fit our classes into a 9 to 3 schedule. Really do we have to have a credit for P.E? If we didn't we could make it six classes a day which would shorten the length to 6 hours instead of 7. If we did that we could meet you at 9, not 8, and still get all the learning in we need. I'm not saying that P.E. is bad, but can't we choose that as one of our electives instead of a credit class? I'm just trying to figure out a way to meet you later is all cause I really like my sleep. If you have any suggestions please write back :)
Thank you!
Bella

{Spark} Back to School

spark 1 noun- anything that activates or stimulates; inspiration or catalyst.

I know some have already gone back to school, but I go back this week. I'm kinda nervous but that's because I'm just afraid I'm gonna get lost :) I did go there last year though so it won't be too bad...
Okay let's get going here!
What do you think of going back to school?
Here's what I think of:

Slowly but surely getting back to waking up early...

New clothes!

School supply shopping...

Summer reading when you wish to be reading another
book (Short Straw Bride).

First day of school. See the nerves?

This is where the parents get their nerves: Sending
their kids off to school.

Wanna hear something cool? As I was writing this I got my schedule! I know where everything is so no getting lost for me! :)
I hope you have a fantastic school year!
